Family billing

One family, one card, zero spreadsheets

Link kids to a parent and bill them all to the parent's card. Receipts, payment texts, and card updates go to the person who pays — and the whole family checks in at once.

The usual way

Where it breaks

  1. 1

Three kids, three cards on file

Or one card copied onto three profiles — and when it expires, three failed payments.

  2. 2

    Texts going to a nine-year-old

Billing reminders sent to the student instead of the parent who actually pays.

  3. 3

    Family math in a spreadsheet

Who pays for whom, tracked off to the side, reconciled by hand every month.

How it works

Family billing, on CornerDesk

  • Link a child to a parent

Each student can have a guardian. Choose whether they're billed to the guardian's card or pay their own way.

  • One card for the whole family

Billed-to-guardian members share the parent's card. Update it once and it covers everyone.

  • Messages go to the payer

Receipts, failed-payment texts, and update links go to the parent who pays — not to the kids.

  • The family checks in together

Search the parent's name on the kiosk and the children come up with them.

  • A family view in the portal

The parent's member portal lists their family, with a link to each child's own page.

  • Changes that don't surprise anyone

Only managers can change who pays, and CornerDesk warns you before moving someone onto a parent's card stops their own autopay.

$99 CAD/mo — flat.

Family billing is part of every gym — not a tier, not an add-on. Unlimited members, staff, and classes, and the first 30 days are free.

Billed in Canadian dollars, including to gyms in the US. CornerDesk takes no cut of member payments; Stripe’s processing fees apply to card payments on your own Stripe account (see Stripe’s pricing). Cash or e-transfer you record in CornerDesk has no processing fee.

The FAQ

Owners ask

01Can one parent pay for several kids?

Yes. Link each child to the parent and bill them to the parent's card — one card on file, updated once for everyone.

02Do kids need their own phone number?

No. Money messages go to the parent who pays, and kids check in when the parent's name is searched at the kiosk.

03Can I give a sibling discount?

Set a family plan at whatever price you like — plans are yours to define. There isn't an automatic percentage discount between siblings yet.

04Can an adult in the family pay for themselves?

Yes. Each linked member can be billed to the guardian or pay with their own card.
